About the Event

Did you know that to help yourself advance in your career, there are a number of important processes that play a role? It would greatly help if you would master the hidden rules around these processes. On top of that, there are a number of personal hurdles to take and these hurdles can hold you back from this mastery.

"One of the processes is ‘development’. If you reflect on the development opportunities you have taken or were given to you in the past, were they connected to your longer term dreams and goals? Did they give you more visibility for your important stakeholders? Were they connected to the strategic direction of the company? And, if it concerned a higher risk project, have you dared to ask for the resources you need? Have you ever said no to a project? I would love to hear about your experience with this. Are you aware of the biases around this topic.

In my coach practice and in my work in companies as HR Director I was involved in these processes. I have seen the dynamics, where they came from and what it resulted into. I will share what the less visible dynamics are around 2 of these processes (development and appointment) in companies that have an effect on your professional (and personal) growth and on your career path. I will show you what the hurdles are that you will face. Some of these hurdles you have already heard of, some of these hurdles might be new. And I will give tips for managers that have women and non-locals in their teams on how to mitigate the hurdles and to make sure that equal opportunities for all become a fact."
